Choosing a boarding facility for a beloved pet can be daunting, and we appreciate your concern! That is why we have made it our mission at Sit Play Stay to provide our canine and feline guests with our staff’s love and attention, all the comforts of home, and veterinary care if needed. Rooms & Rates

All rooms have radiant heated floors and a private outside patio. The daily rate includes yard play time 3 times a day. Extra individual play time can be added.

The Luxury

Our largest enclosure, these suites are perfect for the spoiled pooch!  Our Luxury Suites have a two-foot glass front and is the perfect size for one large dog or multiple small to medium dogs. The Luxury Suites are in their own wing (we only have 6 of them) and each enclosure has a ceiling fan above to help keep your dog comfortable.

Drop-off & Pick-up Times

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP TIMES (BOARDING ONLY)
Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday: Closed

Boarding Requirements:

All dogs and cats will need to be vaccinated with required vaccinations 3 days before boarding

Required Canine Vaccinations:

• Rabies
• Distemper
• Bordetella

As well as a negative fecal test

Required Feline Vaccinations:

• Rabies
• RCP

As well as a negative fecal test

As of January 1, 2022, the State of CT Department of Agriculture has made rules that all boarding and daycare facilities have the following documents on file:

• Copy of your pet’s Registration with your town hall
• Copy of the dog’s Rabies Inoculation with tag number on it. This is a State Law and if we don’t have these documents on file, your dog will no longer be able to come to our Facility. This is the owner’s responsibility to get these documents to us before boarding or joining our playgroups.

If your dog shows any kind of illness such as sneezing, coughing, green goopy eyes, runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other signs of illness at check-in, your pet will not be able to stay at our Pet Resort.

Personalized Playtimes

Why not pamper your pet during its stay with us? Our staff is happy to spend quality one on one time with our boarders in two enclosed fields reserved exclusively for them. In summer, they can play in a pool to their hearts’ content. And at any time of the year, they can play Frisbee or a game of catch with one of our staff. Older dogs may prefer a quiet walk, or simply being brushed or combed in the sunshine.

Veterinary Services

When you board your pet at Sand Road, you have automatic access to our team of veterinarians. Should your pet fall ill during its stay, one of our doctors will examine and treat it. This is also an opportune time for other veterinary services. Does your pet have a condition you want to have checked? Is it time for a dental cleaning? Has it been more than six months since a baseline blood screen was performed? We can obtain a stool sample to have your pet tested for internal parasites, refill a prescription for you, or schedule your pet for an acupuncture or chiropractic session. Just speak to our staff, and we will take care of the rest.
